If you haven't seen "Cousin Bette" before, you are in for a treat!
It was fun to see the early career of Helen Mirren at the BBC and how she acted on these episodes. Margaret Tyzack also had a fantastic role acting the way she did. They both have the right roles for their ages. It is worth watching for someone who didn't see it while growing up.

Balzac was a genius. This dramatisation captures the depths of human depravity as he wrote / described it.
