My 6 year old loves this! She likes to draw while I read her the stories and we get to stop right in the middle and go learn something new. There is a sample lesson you can read before you buy! I want to get all the books and see what else there is to learn! I love how you are reading a story but the story is so connected to learning in one lesson you can touch on time, clocks, counting, addition, measurement and yet it seems like you are just reading a story! The storyline is humorously absurd, repetitive enough so they don't miss anything without being boring AT ALL. Very fun. My kids and I are enjoying Life of Fred Apples so far (we’re halfway through the book). The story is a bit wacky but my kids have gotten over that. I’m noticing that my kids remember and ask questions about the topics covered in the book. (That’s a good sign!) We use the book during Morning time for math fun. PS. My particular book was printed backwards and upside down. Not a big deal for us but I was not alerted to this by the seller before purchasing. May be a deal breaker for some. This book is so funny to my kids. They really enjoy it, and it's fun to watch them learning math in such a compelling way. I don't use this as a curriculum on its own (and personally don't feel it could stand on its own as a curriculum), but it's definitely a fun supplement that I'm very happy we have.
