Wonderful item in great condition. I've spent a lot of time playing this with my young sons, showing them what real video games are like. They can't get enough of dad time with this excellent find. Not much needed to restore the item to perfect condition. Clean, and in good hands now. :+)

Every system has its share of "gems" and Nintendo's NES system sure has a lot of them. Contra has everything a gamer could ask for; good graphics, good gameplay, good music, and good tunes. What made this game even better was 2-player simultaneous action. This game is hard, but try pressing "UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, B, A, START." on controller 1 at the title screen to achieve 30 lives. Trust me, you'll need it. The only problem with the game is that it is way too short and that the action is highly repetitive. Simply a classic!
Contra is just one of those games that brings all the nostalgia back and makes you feel like a kid again (an upset kid, because it is a very difficult game). It is simply a classic and if you liked Contra when you were a kid, you'll probably like it again as an adult and if you have kids, they'll enjoy it too!

By far my most favorite old school game. Reliving my childhood playing it. Along with Tecmo and Super Tecmo Bowl, these are the best. Graphics are poor compared with today's systems, but that's what I had growing up and loved it.
