Correct chain length for proper operation
Those complaining about chain slop, ghost shifting, and a weak spring, might need to replace or shorten your chain. I have a 28/38/48 triple crankset, with an 11-28 8 speed cassette. Chain has been shortened to 112 links. The cage should be slightly less than vertical in the mid range position on both the crankset and cassette. Select 4th gear on your cassette, with the middle chainring on the crank. Shorten the chain accordingly to achieve the correct tension.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nicely made basic RD with really big 13T and 15T pulleys
Do a web search for RD-310 specifications before bidding. My application is 2x8 speed road bike use, and the 13T & 15T big pulleys on this derailleur are good for my application. But the medium cage 65mm may not be suitable for your really wide range 3x8 or 3x7 MTB bikes that have large tooth count differences. Product came well greased and ready for install. An exact replacement. My Grand daughter ...
An exact replacement. My Grand daughter broke the other one. It had been working fine for a long time. It was over shifted and the chain lodged between the sprocket and hub.
