This little tripod is lightweight and portable for small camera convenience
After setting it up, and adjusting its heigth, I found it to be a very good little lightweight tripod. It is not a serious (professional type) tripod, for quality SLR's or video with cameras weighing more than a pound. But, for lightweight cameras it should even pan fairly good. And it can raise the camera almost 6 feet above the floor. I selected it for its compact lightweight stability and portability.After setting it up, and adjusting its heigth, I found it to be a very good little lightweight tripod. I was looking for a tripod to hold my Sony video camera to do some videos on my small business. I had watched videos on Grav3yardgirl and it gave me the idea to do a series of videos on my business Santa Fe Soap Factory in Santa Fe, TX. I chose this tripod for several reasons. One was of course the price with free shipping, second is the height and its ability to adjust to any height as needed. This tripod is perfect in everyway for me. One other feature I hadn’t noticed before I ordered it is on the center is a hook to add a stabilizing weigh or anchor. This is a great feature to keep the outfit from blowing over when filming outside. This is important with my $1000 camera sitting on top! I bought a camcorder and wanted a cheap tripod to try out the 50X Zoom as it has to be still at that zoom and to my delight when it was delivered and I opened it up I could not believe how nice it was for the money and how many different ways you can set it up and all the adjustments it has. This is a super nice tripod. When not in use it collapses and fits in a nice little storage bad that comes with it. I just can not say enough good about this product except that I am so glad I bought it. Oh yea and a added bonus it works on my Nikon digital camera that I also have so one size fits all my needs. Would I recommend to a friend yes I would and have and I would buy another one if I need it! ! !FOR SURE A FIVE STAR product and by the way I never do reviews or anything like this so that in ... I would not recommend any Bower product to anypne.
This was my first purchase from ebay, and is not an auspicious start. First, the tripod did not arrive until nine days after placing the order, and the only instructions of any kind were on the box. When I set it up, I was unable to securely lock the panning function. After a bit of research, I found the website of the manufacturer and because I could find no phone number, I e-mailed requesting a more detailed instruction sheet as well as confirmation that the pan lock was the knob I believed it to be. No-one at Bower bothered to even acknowledge my request. The tripod is usable, but not as functional as I would like, and I would never purchase another Bower product because of the absence of anything resembling customer support.This was my first purchase from ebay, and is not an auspicious start.
