So big shout out to Cuisinart, they nailed the functionality and quality. Just cause there is always room for improvement as a reviewer I would like to encourage Cuisinart to strive to produce a Kettle with same over all look just instead of plastic on the level of water, it would be better if it was glass, and also make the base of the kettle heaver so that it doesn't move on the counter top so easily. the metal(plastic) trim on the bottom should be flush with the bottom to make it look better. these days we don't like unnatural materials. Make it look raw, and make the branding smaller. Also to give it more of a modern look and give it more room for water, give it some corners( make it a circle/square look)-It would make it overall work with peoples square plates or there circle plates. These is a daily using item for me, and so far love it, but you always want what your wild imagination can come up with. Read full review

I love that this kettle can be set to several different settings. I'm a tea drinker, so it matters. And it heats it up really fast - I mean, 90 seconds. That is great. The only imperfection is that I haven't been able to pour it into my cup without lots of water going on the countertop. I've now had it for 2 weeks and have tried various pouring techniques, to no avail. I pour it slowly or fast, high or low, it doesn't seem to make a difference. In this case it's OK because the sink is nearby, so I now pour over the sink so I don't have to wipe up the floor or countertop. But without a nearby sink, it's going to be messy. I hate to not love this kettle, but that is a definite design flaw.

The product worked as expected by boiling the water quickly and it was quite hot but it has no indication markers to let me know how much water is still left in the pot. I thought it did have that type of marker but it does not and that is why I rated as "OK". This is a large capacity pot but it should still have some type of indication marker about the water level.

i wonder how many people giving this a positive review actually tested the water temperature accuracy. i tested all settings and the least it was off was 5º, the average around 10º, and the most almost 20º! tested with both digital and oldschool chef's thermometer. a much less significant, but still an annoyance, is the notification beep that is barely audible even in a quiet room, and inaudible otherwise. cuisinart, good reviews; i figured, how could i go wrong? oh, well.

It works well, and it does boil water. However it works no faster than any other appliance built for the same thing. A pitcher filled to the "Max" line takes about 5-8 minutes to heat to boiling. I do like the fact that the pitcher can be disconnected from the power source and taken to where it is used. The lightweight factor is great....it's not heavy to carry. And I like the fact that it can't be turned on by accident.
