You need to be a hardcore fan to like this book. I’m not one of them. So I hated it. It was a short book, which was great. But it needed more details. The list of new Jedi’s were surprisingly high. The last Star Wars book I read had only Luke and Leia as Jedi’s. Now Luke’s married, he has a kid, Leia has 3, and there is like 50 new Jedi’s, etc…….etc……… I was confused with the names. Not a good buy. I’ve read better Star Wars books than this.
Fun read in a great series

I thought this was a great read. There was plenty of action, a great alien villian. Have not read too many of the Star Wars sets, but this one kept my attention. I couldn't put them down.
I bought this book for one of my friends' children; because he collectors everything Star Wars.He really gets excited when I give him anything pertaing to Star Wars.
Star Wars: The New Jedi Order Dark Tide 1: Onslaught Onslaught is a softcover book that was published in February of 2000 by Del Rey books. It was written by Michael A. Stackpool. It is the second book in the New Jedi Order Series. Summary: Reeling from the initial incursions of the extragalactic Yuuzhan Vong, the forces of the New Republic regroup to Coruscant, where former Chief of State Leia Organa Solo addresses the Galactic Senate and finds the members divided on how to deal with the Yuuzhan Vong threat. The Yuuzhan Vong's beachhead on Belkadan undergoes Vongforming while Jedi Master Luke Skywalker endeavors to unite the Jedi while Han and Leia's daughter Jaina accepts a place in Rogue Squadron. I found that this was a nice follow up to the first book in the series. The New Republic falls back and assesses the consequences of the new intergalactic invaders. All the time we see that the Vong continue their onslaught without remorse! A good book! 4/5 Latsyrhc Tamarack CollectiblesRead full review
