Naruto Shippuden Legends: Akatsuki Rising is a third-person action-adventure game, the first for PlayStation Portable based in the Shippuden saga the of popular anime series. The game follows the "Kazekage Retrieval" story arc, Naruto's first major adventure after undergoing years of training abroad, and features allies and villains who are more powerful than they were in the original manga and cartoons. The game includes ten playable characters, in different modes. The main "Original" mode sends the heroes on a dangerous mission to free Gaara from his Akatsuki captors, before they can unlock the powerful demon within him. The plot moves forward through character interactions, platform jumping, and plenty of jutsu-powered ninja combat. As the player's character deals and takes damage in battle, an onscreen "Hyper Gauge" slowly fills, eventually unlocking the hero's most powerful combat moves. Single-player side quests in the game's "Scenario" mode allow ninja characters to quest for Skill Scrolls, which can enhance their strength, defense, health, or special abilities. In "Akatsuki" mode, players take control a member of the shadowy ninja organization, and play through parts of the story from the enemy's perspective. Head-to-head sparring is available in the game's "Versus" mode, for two Akatsuki Rising players through an Ad-hoc connection.

    Fun and beautiful

    What a awesome game! Firstly I wanna say I wish this on consoles and not just a handheld. Secondly do not sleep on this game just because it is on handheld. The graphics are so amazing, looks like a moving painting and the cut scenes are all done with in game engine and look great! The battle system is so fun, so simple, but not boring. Tons of different game modes and challenges to keep you busy for a mighty long time! Lots of different enemies and the difficulty is just right for not only quick bursts of play or long time play. Great choice for any psp owner!

    nice concept bad execution

    camera is really bad fighting against one enemy is frustrating enough against two or someone who makes clones i just cant explain,not enough jutsu moves not enough combos graphics are bad some jutsus look horrible,no clear indication as where to go next while in rpg mode u will find yourself roaming the dessert trying to find ur way to a mission, no where near enough characters it was a bad move to only include those from the gaara retrieval arc plus 2 extras, chiyo the one who killed sasori isnt in it and she was a key character in the story, still dont know if i can play true form sasori everyone in the game who fights is unlockable so i would hate to know he cant be unlocked,cpu has certain advantages like it goes into hyper mode really quickly and stays that way it has unlimited chakra ...

    This product is awesome. It came in perfect packaging, game is easy to play, easy to understand. Graphics are great, quality is high, good for anyone whos a naruto fan.

    It is an awesome product I highly recommend it.

    It is very fun. I only just started playing but it is just like the playstation2 version. I bought the product due to my love of Naruto and it does not disappoint. It takes the excitement, the wonderful picture, and sound quality of the playstation2 version only you can take it on the go.

    Recommended to all! Has it all in one!

    This game is so good!! You can just have battles, go on missions, and play through the story mode. Its got it all!!! Would really recommend to anyone. And the graphics are great!!
