About this product

Product Information

European developer Cauldron's follow-up to The History Channel Presents: Civil War -- A Nation Divided trades bayonets for sub-machine guns in Battle for the Pacific. This first-person shooter has players fighting alongside a close-knit squad in some of the most intense battles fought in World War II's Eastern Front. From Henderson Field to Mount Suribachi, players will advance through thick jungles, across volcanic islands, and past fortified caves to complete objectives. Documentary videos preface each mission, offering detailed statistics, battle footage, and other enlightening information. Authentic mission types include recapturing airfields, repelling enemy assaults, embarking on search-and-destroy operations, and more. Among the weapons available to players are sub-machine guns, sniper rifles, pistols, and grenades.

  • Worth a few pittance for the history!

This game is fun, holds your attention and show minimal gore. In my book that makes it a good pick for those as young as perhaps 12. It also has the narrative about what occurred at each battle mentioned in the game. Great for historic lessons. The documentary style is second to none and more games displaying this type of history should be made! 100% thumbs up on this on folks.:)

  • Fun Game

I liked this game, although it usally took 2-4 times to load. I found that using the pistol worked better than the thompson or jap sub machine gun, as it was more accurate, and made good one shot head hits, even at longer ranges to take out the jap machine gunners, sometimes it even worked better than the sniper rifle. I paid 22.00 including postage for a new game, which I think was a fair price.

  • very accurate, good game

pros Real WW2 weapons very accurate levels are well coordinated con doesn't start off easy like other games

  • Just shoot,

This ww2 game is meant to give the player a feel of combat. The Pacific islands are a great place to strengthen your fighting skills. Sharpen your bullets with this game.
