The tip failed inspection at the tournament we participated last Saturday. The third match the tip didn't register a touch. I left it with our Club Armorer to figure out what failed. My son really likes how light and rigid this blade is.

Hi, firstly thanks for the purchase of course. A tightly calibrated epee point can fail weight and/or shim test after a particularly strong touch or not being protected in the fencing bag. My advice- always to test the point either after each bout or between bouts & have proper sleeves/sheaths for the blade, empty bags between practice, etc. If the point does not fail for a really long time - it holds too much of a weight. Elite fencers have their points calibrated by armourers between bouts.

Flimsy packaging was not enough to protect the blade. Could have been bent during shipping. A one layer cardboard sleeve. is all that protected it.

First I had to wait nearly 2 1/2 weeks before I received the epee blade. not the his fault it was USPS. Secondly, it was shipped FREE, therefore one has to be patient and understanding. Received blade except no grip would fit. Contacted the vendor and within a few hours offered to replace and include a wire for free. Ordered a tip and he installed it. UNIC is one of the most reputable and accommodating vendors I've ever encountered on eBay. I would not hesitate to buy from him again!
