    The Card is defective

    I have THREE of these controllers and all do the same thing. They work for about 24 hours then lock up the CPU. The error is "DELAYED WRITE FAILED". I have three computers also, and tried the cards in all three. They all lock up with the same ERROR. I don't know if it is the Driver or the Hardware.

    Excellent Value

    Refurbished is often use for an open box item, my guess is in this case it was not compatible with a PCIe 1x slot, it actually needs a PCIe 4x or more to plug in. So, my gain for novice computer users that order things without knowing exactly what is needed.

    Worked great

    Worked great to add 2 SATA DVD drives to my system. Note I had to plug the drives into ports 3&4, my system would not boot if I had them plugged into ports 1&2. It seemed like the card was expecting a hard drive to be plugged into the first port. Also take note this card is PCIe x2, it will not fit into a PCIe x1 slot.
