I was worried about brightness since the display is rated for 250 nits, but I have it side-by-side with my 300 nit laptop screen, and this display is brighter, clearer, and better than my laptop screen is. For me, this is the perfect size of display for 100% scaling at 1080p to get a lot of screen real estate. The display is crisp and bright. It has more of a matte finish, so I find it usable even in bright light, compared to more reflective glossy screen
