Unit sounds great, easy menu navigation, and numerous features.
Model: AVH-P4300DVD The Good: 1) High powered, clean sounding amplifier 2) Stylish, easy-to-navigate menu 3) 2 auxiliary A/V inputs (RCA and 3.5mm) 4) Has IPbus interface for additional accessories 5) Has RGB input for AVIC-U220 (or possibly U250) Navigation Module 6) Has Auto-EQ microphone port for automatic sound shaping 7) Supports basic iPod/iPhone direct control through headunit touchscreen (most older iPods and iPhone 2g through 4s) 8) Supports RDS, giving you station Call Letters and name, Song info, etc (if the station uses RDS, not all do). 9) Offers several choices of background colors, and a wide choice of button illumination colors to match any instrument lighting in your car. 10) 8-band EQ. This is an area where Pioneer hits the mark big time. It's nice being able to adjust ... This is an area where Pioneer hits the mark big time. It's nice being able to adjust the EQ curve to get that extra bit of punch in the right frequencies, and this radio allows you to do just that. The bad: 1) No HDRadio or Bluetooth built-in (these ARE available as add-ons, but are getting expensive and hard to find) 2) SD and USB capable of reading large volumes, but take forever to load. A 4 Gigabyte card full of mp3's will take nearly two minutes to start playing. This happens every time you power the unit on and use one of these interfaces. 3) No firmware updates. This means no possibility of iPhone 5/5s/5c support and no possibility of fixing the slow flash memory device loading. Not necessarily a deal-breaker, but it may prevent use of all features for you. Would I buy again? Maybe. I picked this unit up used on eBay as a temporary replacement for an AVH-P8400bh that's in for service. It cost me about $200 including shipping, which seemed fair to me based on the capabilities and comparable products out there. After my other unit comes back from repair, I'll proably put this in my wife's car, as she doesn't care about HDRadio or Bluetooth, and the cheapo Sony she has now is starting to act flaky.

The item is great, real easy to install, and has ll the features it promised. As well as it looks great. Pioneer should not that it does not have a built in memory, if you unplug it say to add a module, all customizations and saves are lost Pros: Easy to install and configure Very powerful, does not need amplification for components/speakers Works out of the box Cons: No EU Tuning, only tune in .2Mhz steps DVD locked to region one Once you start adding add ins, it ends up costing more than other units with everything already built in A very annoying background hiss as soon as you touch the equalizer, not really needed if your music is of good quality Display is not sunlight readable at all BT should be standard on all units nowadays, and android support is a must for contacts which it ... Multitasking Marvel..
I've only just installed this unit but so far so good. The interface is pretty user friendly and there are a row of buttons at the bottom for common functions, which I appreciate. Offers a plethora of inputs which I also appreciate. I needed a unit that could serve the role of video player, navigator, backup camera monitor, and hi-fi stereo with iphone connectivity. This pretty much hits the nail on the head- it integrates a great deal of function into a clean, consolidated package with connections in the rear and card slots concealed behind the face. Dedicated subwoofer settings are great for dialing in the bump and the touchscreen makes setting up custom EQ's a breeze.. I haven't explored the video functions other than to test them but resolution looks pretty good, and my backup camera ... I've only just installed this unit but so far so good. One of the best head unit's I've used yet! :D
This is one of the bestttt Double Din's i've dealt with yet. It has great touch response, not sluggish and slow. The choices of Pandora, iPod, CD, and what not is great. Can't seem to get some radio stations to work but I'll fix it later on. The 7" fits perfectly in my dash kit, the coolest feature is changing your color of the controls to whatever color you want or it can change itself! Best head unit seen yet! Oh, and it has 3 ports on the back to run all your stuff for your interiors and subs. It comes prepared!This is one of the bestttt Double Din's i've dealt with yet. Great piece of Equipment. Does everything I need it to. I added steering control and Blue Tooth to it and couldn't be happier. Very easy to use and understand. Easy installation. I have a rear Flip Down DVD player in My Expedition and it integrated perfectly with this system. Simple RCA Jack connections makes installation a breeze. I have no complaints about this unit what so ever. I've had it in my vehicle for about a month and it is as advertised. It meets and exceeds all my needs and expectations. I also like the fact that if I have any questions about it's use Pioneer customer support is available via the telephone to help. Very professional and patient.
