Very nice Rails
These rails were a perfect fit for my Drive medical semi electric hospital bed. Actually it's my wife's bed which we bought without rails originally but we found it's very hard to keep the mattress in place with nothing on the sides and we thought rails would do that job plus assist her in getting in and out of bed. These rails simply clamp onto the frame of the bed on the head part that goes up and down. They fit very well and should work on other model beds but I can't guarantee that, They're made by Drive medical for their rail style beds with springs. These will not work on pan style beds with solid metal under the mattress. These rails were advertised and "Brown Vein" style finish but mine came a satin black textured kind of orange peel finish which I actually like better than ... The bed rails are brown with black trim so either color matches fine. The rails go up and down easily and lock in place with a kind of swinging bar at the bottom with two hooks that hold it in the up position. Simply lift on the rail slightly and pull out the bar and the rails go down. Lift the rail back up and the bar swings into place automatically locking rail in the "up" position. The rails are very sturdy and well made and the finish looks like a powder coat to me. Whatever it is the rails should easily last as long as the bed if not longer if installed properly and used correctly.

Great item at a great price
I use an adjustable hospital bed and needed replacement side rails. Its a small bed for my size and have had past problems with falling out of bed, These rails are identical to the original ones I had that had broken after a few years other than the color. That, to me, is no big deal and in fact these match the bedframe's color better.

Drive Bed Side Rails
These rails showed to come in pairs.Others did not show if they were in sets or pairs. The prices were all over the place and one rail would be of no use unless you needed to replace only one rail. I chose these rails because it stated they came in pairs. They work great and they are of great quality.

Great price for a great product
We got a bed with short rails and my mom kept falling out of it. So we found these rails and they were such a great price and exactly the same style as the ones that came with the bed. Now mom is safe and they recess when not needed.
