    Verizon phone with GSM capabilities

    This review of the LG Terra VN210 has to do with its CDMA and GSM capabilities. I purchased this phone as a Verizon phone. The Verizon logo is on the front and appears at startup as any other Verizon cellphone. The unique thing about this phone is that it has a SIM card slot and the option to switch Network Mode from CDMA to GSM or Global mode. So to test this I inserted a T-mobile SIM, powered the phone on, ensured it was in GSM mode then went to GSM settings(here you can choose Automatic or Manual configuration) and it started operating on T-MOBILE Network! Although​ I did not use it long yet, this phone is easy to use and has a nice big keypad and screen layout.

    Great value on a great network

    I bought this phone specifically because it was a 3G device that worked on the Verizon network. This makes it eligible to use the PagePlus $12/mo plan. I get all the same great coverage of the Verizon network at a fraction of the cost. The phone itself has pretty good functionality including: > Camera > Alarm Clock > Stop Watch > Simple Internet Browsing Some of the features it didn't have which I would have liked to see are > Timer > Easy way to lock the device It is basically a mid 2000's flip phone. If you are looking for value and functionality this is a great choice. I would strongly recommend researching carriers/plans and device requirements and THEN buying a cell phone that works with the carrier/plan that matches your needs.
