Pros: Portability for being compact with 60 GB hard drive, providing long hours of shooting video; this device is easy to operate after carefully reading owner’s manual and the first few times in use to know all about its features.70x optical zoom power allows viewing and shooting objects and landscape far away from where you are. Multiple face detection is one good feature.Color quality is natural, not too gaudy like some other brands. Cons: a tripod must be used when zoom level exceeds 20x; otherwise picuture quality will be affected as being shaken and blurred to some extend. Sound recording volume is rather soft even turned on at 32x with stereo zoom. Still pictures at 2MB pixels is not very clean when taken indoors under normal light condition. Outdoors pictures are OK and color tone is natural. The bottom line is that this device is good for video recording. And what else can one expect more with $205.00? Just consider the fact that in the store, this Panasonic SDR-DH 80 may cost you $324.00. After all, this is a good buy to me.Read full review
Small, light weight, easy to use, transfers to dvd, videos fast and well, great zoom. Needs a better longer lasting battery, needs a light, still pictures in picture mode not sharp. Great price for what it does, no high def. Needed my old vhs repaired, RCA 540, also a great unit but labor to fix was more than this new unit.

First off let me say that I am a real buyer. I was not given anything for a review. the camera itself is good with a good clear picture. Has 60gb HD. I like the SDR-H85 a little more but its still a great camera. What I like a lot about it is I can close the door on the camera and it does not turn off. It continues to record.
