    Good build quality, poor sound...

    Pros: Looks great and has good build quality. Cons: Poor sound quality. Let me go in depth... This subwoofer has good bass from 25-30 hz. At 35 hz to 45 hz, it hits even harder. From 45 hz 55 hz, it bumps decent enough for me not to complain. HOWEVER, from 60hz and beyond, it is a joke! It rolls off so hard, that my 6.5 door speakers hit harder! This creates a HUGE hole in my sound system and results in this sub creating VERY boomy and sloppy bass. I went through not only multiple sources, media players, but tried another monoblock amp.....but same result every time. I know this is a budget sub, but I've heard cheaper subs that have far better response through the 25-100 hz range. Is this a result of the 10W0? Not sure....however, I think it is due to the ported design. I'm going to ...

    Is JLW0 and enclosure is an excellent entry level subwoofer for someone who's looking to add bass without breaking the wallet. Need minimal power but packs a punch!

    Amazing sound without being obnoxious!!!

    Amazing sound without being obnoxious. The tone of JL Audio CP110-W0V3 is smooth and deep without it being "clippy" like many other subs on the market. I have it firing downward in the trunk of my 96 BMW 328, and it really makes the difference to the overall sound in my system, and it looks sharp too!!! The unobtrusive logo on the grey carpet looks like it would be OEM. My installer put the amplifier (running a Kenwood 1200 watt 5 channel) behind a panel on the left side of the trunk and ran the wires in such a way that you only see about 2 inches of wire. Could not be happier with the sound. Highly, highly recommend spending the extra few dollars to get the JL Audio sub over ANY other sub found at the local audio stores!!!
