Small unit, Big performance by Audio-Technica
I bought this product to use with a digital recorder for recording Church Conferences to keep on record. I set it in the center of the Church Council members and it picks up every person extremely well. It is a small unit with big performance, which is not unusual for Audio-Technica products. Haven't used it long enough to determine battery life though. This part could be a learning experience since there is no battery light on it to help you determine when the battery needs changing.I bought this product to use with a digital recorder for recording Church Conferences to keep on record. It just doesn't work
It requires a battery which comes with the microphone, but I would not have ordered it if I'd known because I don't want to have to depend on a battery all the time. The battery is a small coin battery and it may be difficult to replace since there is no size or number on the battery and nothing in the literature that came with the microphone that talks describes it, so who knows? Finally, this is supposed to be a decent microphone that's suitable for meetings, conference calls, etc. but it barely detected sound even when I leaned directly above it and shouted.
