It works. I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel and a sanding drum to modify the broken hinge part of the cover, and a cordless drill worked fine for making the holes.

I purchased a turntable dust cover hinge kit in August 2023 for my Technics SL-D1 turntable... They fit perfectly with some craftsmanship on my part (gentle grinding off of broken lid post and alignment and drilling of mounting holes) just take your time and you can install them also. They are well constructed and work better than new... Look good also...
