    4.5 stars, here s why. The compressor itself did appear to be new, but the wiring harness connector at the end where it attaches to the compressor pigtail was damaged. There was some kind of black material, paint or heavy tar on the one corner, one edge was bashed and needed to be straightened with a small pliers, and the locking pin socket plastic was cracked on one side and wouldn t hold the locking pin on the compressor pigtail. I ended up just taping the harness together and it works okay, but if that harness was new, it should have never passed QC at the factory. Compressor works as expected and overall I m satisfied, replaced a similar unit that was near 3 yrs old and had finally worn out it s connecting rod and was knocking like an old Ford v8.
