This HDD gives users the freedom to store up to 5,000 hours of digital music, 96,000 digital photos, 300 hours of high-definition digital video, or up to 150 video games.This Seagate Cheetah 15K.5 SAS ST3300655SS 300GB hard drive works with virtually all setups plus it can function as an additional storage device for a desktop computer or a server. The Seagate SAS 15k device utilizes a familiar 3.5-inch form factor, easily fitting into most setups or rigs. Furthermore, the device utilizes a large 16MB memory cache for a fast data transfer rate with each and every use. Thus, you can easily transfer large files or programs to and from the hard drive with speed and ease of mind. At its peak, the device is capable of offering a 300MB/s transfer rate with an average latency of roughly 2.0 ms.When fully integrated into your setup, the Seagate SAS device will utilize all eight of its read-and-write data heads to offer quick response time and accurate retrieval. Beyond this, the device is able to withstand a small amount of shock without causing issues. While in operation, the Seagate SAS can absorb roughly 60 Gs of shock. While in non-operating mode, the hard disk drive can handle up to 250 Gs. Furthermore, the Seagate SAS hard disk drive is capable of withstanding a vibration of 0.5 G at 10 to 500 Hz while in operating mode, and it can withstand a vibration of 2 Gs at 22 to 500 Hz.These Seagate Cheetah 15K.5 SAS ST3300655SS 300GB internal hard disk drives offer an ever-popular Serial Attached SCSI drive interface, or SAS, offering speeds up to 3GB/s. It is recommended that the Seagate 15K.5 SAS 300GB internal hard drives be operated at temperatures between 5 and 55 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity between 5 and 95%.Throughout its use, this internal HDD provides BMS support, or Background Media Scan, offering frequent proactive scans of the media for potential issues and defects while in its idle state. If an error is found, the device is capable of correcting it and preventing data loss. Beyond this, the computer component features perpendicular recording, non-recoverable error rate, and Idle Read After Write, or IRAW, functionality. With all these features intertwined, the Seagate Cheetah 15K.5 SAS ST3300655SS 300GB hard disk drive offers a secure, reliable, and durable storage expansion for any server or personal computer.
