    JB Weld does it again.

I needed an adhesive that would bond metal washers to automotive plastic composites. Not very easy to find for this very specific application. Being already very experienced with successfully using JB Weld original, I found their Plastic Bonder and it's description on line. This product specifically lists, among others, the very surfaces or materials I was working with. Though slightly messy to work with (it wants to run or drip before it's set), it worked perfectly for my repair. When cured It firmly bonded metal washers to reinforce the torn rivet cutouts in the auto body part I was hoping to salvage. Using JB Weld Plastic Bonder, my repair was successful. It saved me from buying another expensive auto part in the course of completing this auto body repair job. Thanks JB Weld!

    Bumper repair??

I bought this to repair a plastic bumper. I said that it would dry in 15 min, sandable in 30 minutes. Two hours later it was still not sandable. It also went on smooth and then bubbled up. I wound up removing every bit of it and using old fashioned glazing compound. The entire tube was transformed into sanded dust. I followed the instructions, but it did not work well.

  • Harder than regular body putty and didn't sand well.

I had a 5" long scratch that was 1/8" deep on the lower door panel of my car that was plastic. I sanded and cleaned the bottom of the scratch with acetone to remove any wax. Then I filled the scratch and sanded hours later as directed and a small chunk came out when I sanded. It was clogging the wet sand paper. It doesn't sand the same as regular body filler or bondo. Maybe it was me but I'll stay with regular body filler next time.

  • Works great clean to use and does not dry up the mix in the tubes.

The product does the job ;easy to use; used it on 2 repairs so far works; the device open and close feature on the syringe keep it clean to use and not to dry out the epoxy mix.

  • So good!

I have used JB Weld metal bonding and am now thrilled with discovering equal qualities for plastic. I had a complicated mend and this filled the gaps, bonded and held. Not pretty; black goo on white product, but function first!

  • J-B WELD IS NO GOOD!

J-B Weld 50139 is a WASTE of money and time. A few have told me how great it was. It dries in 15 minutes? DON'T THINK SO. Wasted the money and an afternoon. Now I have black crap on my car and the pieces did NOT stay on. THANKS!
