Capcom empties its vault for the second time in this updated Wii version of the 2002 GameCube title Resident Evil 0, which was set before the events in the original Resident Evil. Instead of playing as two separate characters in slightly divergent storylines, players now control two characters at once, switching between them at will to solve puzzles and to fight enemies. The female protagonist is Rebecca Chambers, member of the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team that would later be sent to Raccoon City to investigate a mysterious disappearance. Former Navy SEAL Billy Coen, a convicted murderer awaiting his sentence, joins her on a train to S.T.A.R.S. headquarters, but things take a turn for the worse when the train is suddenly attacked by zombies.<br><br>Players can examine their surroundings, use tools, pick up and combine items to solve puzzles, and fire weapons to stave off the advancing monsters and beasts. The partner system has players controlling one primary character and the computer controlling the other, or guiding both at the same time by simultaneously using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Computer-controlled characters can be given the command to attack or to remain idle, conserving bullets when necessary. Acquired items can be swapped between characters when they are together in the same room, and partners can also split off to investigate certain situations alone, keeping the other informed using walkie-talkies.

Bought an HDMI upscaler for my wii so playing this game in full hd is amazing! The tank controls are just like the 1st resident evil, but if your not a fan get 4 or chronicles.

An Impressive Prequel
After playing Resident Evil: Remake, I was curious about RE:0. I had heard it was a prequel to the original RE. I must say it's an impressive game. You play with 2 new characters: Rebecca & Billy, as you start off on a train, then to a mansion. The game has it's similarities to the original RE. You have limited item space, you save your progress by typewriter & ink ribbon, the different camera angles, and of course creepy zombies. There are items you collect in order to advance to different rooms and areas: keys, lever-cranks, access cards, etc. Unlike original RE there are no item boxes to store all of your weapons, herbs, etc. Instead you can pick up and leave objects where you please. Also you can alternate as Rebecca or Billy, sometimes you have to switch off to someone else in order ... After playing Resident Evil: Remake, I was curious about RE:0. Backtracking to collect items you had left can be very tedious, but other than that this game is good. If you enjoy the original RE than I recommend this game.

I love this game. You get to take a look into the story of Resident Evil and Umbrella from the very beginning. Even before RE 1. This game really ties in all the others in the series together and gives you a full understanding of the Resident Evil story. This one has very good graphics, very intriguing game play, it's challenging and also scary! Just like a Resident Evil game should be! I had a blast using the Wii mote and nunchuck to guide myself through the game from start to finish!I love this game.
