I had knee surgery and they told me the best exercise would be to ride a stationary bike, which I don't own. So, I did a lot of research and purchased the TODO. It works great! It is very well built. I work from home a lot so I use it under my desk. I do use the strap most of the time becuase my chair is on wheels, so it wants to slide back. It has some weight to it, so I think it would do good on hard surfaces, but everywhere I have used it has carpet. I like that it has different resistance levels, so you can get a good workout.
