    I love the Pentair 505G Legend. It looks great in the pool, easy to empty, and stays upright.

    The best feature of the Pentair 505G is the four wheels and the large bag that stays upright. It picks up everything including sand, pine needles, leaves, and even the tile and grout pieces that drop in the pool while while replacing. The handle at the rear of the cleaner is an especially nice feature making it easy to pick it out of the pool. The down side is that it spends most of the time in the deep end. I pull it to the shallow end where it makes a pass then heads to the deep end again. One day I spent some time in walking the dog which is directing the cleaner by the hose to travel through the things on the bottom of the shallow end. It did a great job of picking up worms, mulch, pine needles, etc. Next I will try redirecting the water jet at the back and perhaps it will ...

    Great Cleaner

    I had this same cleaner when I built my pool 8 years ago. The hose that feeds the cleaner needs to be replaced because it is staying twisted up and doesn't allow the cleaner to go everywhere it needs to. The hose with all the fittings is pretty expensive to replace by itself so for an extra couple hundred dollars I decided to get the entire cleaner. The old cleaner itself was still working fine and was just color faded from all the years in the sun/pool. It picks up all the debris including sand and grit. I run it about 60-90 minutes a day 4 days a week and the pool is spotless. I definitely recommend this cleaner.

    Great Pool Cleaner

    I've had one for 10 years (named him Zippy) and he finally 'died'. So I ordered a new one (named him Zippity Two-Da) and kept the old one's reusable parts so I figure I'm good for another 10+ years!! I had forgotten how fast Zippy used to be in his younger days! Great product--highly recommend!

    Outstanding Product, Performance, and I got a great deal

    The choice was the Kreepy Krauly or the Polaris . . the reviews were about the same for both. I went with the Kreepy because I found it for over $100 less than the Polaris. It was very easy to install - one hose cut to length and easy to install hose fittings and splash, it was in the pool. It provides thorough coverage of my irregular semi-kidney shaped pool and climbs almost to waterline in all but the deepest spots. It has the power to vacuum up grit as well as swimming goggles left in the pool by the kids. Easy to clean, easy to operate . . can't imagine any other cleaner in this price range doing any better than this. I paid 285 after receiving my $100 rebate.
