      Realtek chip inside - even better.

      So I have a 2in1 with no ethernet port on it. When I download things that I know are going to take awhile, I plug this in. I do have turn off the WiFi, though. Speeds are absolutely true - 1.0gb. Connecting wire is stiff. There is a l.e.d. light inside the ethernet port. This can even work on an android phone, but it has to be rooted and special app from google play. Yes, I am glad that I got this one. It does a known name brand chip inside - Realtek.

      My TV does not recognize an internet signal coming into it's USB port.

      i was mis-led to believe this would increase internet speed by hooking up ethernet through USB. My smart TV would not recognize an internet signal coming into a USB port.
