Requires hacking to make it work properly.
I knew that it required work to make it somewhat useable as my home tv fm transmitter. I split the case apart, cosmetically damaging the casing, and converted the power plug to a USB plug and added an external wire to the unit. Now, I have a range of about 50ft, although the quality is only crystal clear when it transmits mono. Unmodified, I would rate it as junk.

Expected more from a Belkin Product
Good - I like the way the unit finds a clear station to broadcast from, you just tune your radio into the station it has found for you. Easy to use. Bad - Transmitter power very low - have to have my car radio on maximum volume and even then it isn't very loud (can give you quite a shock the next time you are in the car if you forget to turn down the volume when you disconnect the unit - and I'm sure it isn't good for my car speakers either when that happens). It finds a clear station to transmit to, but there is often distortion like it isn't tuned in properly. When this happens, you can press the button to select a different station, but this happens on all stations that the unit finds, occasionally you can get a clear sound for a few minutes, then it becomes distorted again, Sound ... Good - I like the way the unit finds a clear station to broadcast from, you just tune your radio into the station it has found for you. Easy to use.
