This APC router (WMR1000G) supports WAN and Wireless LAN interfaces. It supports the most common WLAN standard of Ethernet, Radio-Ethernet, 802.11b, and 802.11g/b. This APC portable router has wireless access point functionality. The DHCP server on this wireless router provides the ability for it to be a dedicated server for all computers on its network. Firewall features like Access Control MAC filter, URL blocking, and intrusion detection help to protect the computers plugged into this APC router. Other security measures include VPN protocols such as IPSec Pass-through, L2TP Pass-through, and PPTP Pass-through, as well as 128-bit WEP encryption and Wi-Fi protected access. This APC portable router supports general protocols IP and TCP. This wireless router has LED indicators for WAN, Wireless LAN, power on/off, and port activity status. The setup and installation utilize plug-and-play features. The APC router has a compact design, measuring 2.8 inches wide, 4.0 inches high, and 0.8 inches deep. It weighs less than half a pound.
