For an 8 year old iMac, this is a perfect unit for my needs of light illustration work, writing and surfing the Internet. Beautiful monitor and the sound is quite amazing.

Overall, the apple IMac is superior to the PCS in that they crash less, an easier interface to interact with, and a common sense approach to an operating system. The drawbacks however is its troubleshooting and problem solving. Because PCs crash a ton, there are always ways to get back into windows and troubleshoot. No matter how damaged the system may be. Maybe this is due to most of us growing up on PCs and our knowledge of whizzing past error messages and thinking that rebooting (as it commonly does) fixes the problems. Macs however, does not work work this way. You mess up any kind of permissions issues and your mac may not restart. and if you don't have the installation disks, you're up the creek... that being said, the IMAC 24 is by far one of the best system's i've ever owned. ... Save your money, buy from the apple store and never look back.

Can't do better, superb product quality, and service, no worries-wow!
-I purchased this product because Apple is the best product for Desktop PC/Laptops- especially if you need to do photos, presentations etc. I had two drivers, I am working on my PHD and Family tree. I needed something that can handle both and will Never break down. I have 2 Apple Laptops for years and love them. -I love the quality, this product is beautiful, feels good, looks good with excellent performance. the sound is wonderful, Pandora is always on! - There is nothing to dislike, I did replace the mouse with their pad that replaces the mouse, it's wireless-wonderful. - I would buy this product again and I will purchase future Apple products from this vendor, excellent service and they answered all my questions. Renewing my Mac connection
Tried to switch to an iMac last year. At one time, had three about. Sold them all to return to familiar software of Windows-based PC. Guess what? After three months, I began to long for the elegance of the iMac. After four, I had decided to buy yet another. This is a fantastic machine. Only downside is warranty--BE SURE TO GET THE EXTENDED SOMEWHERE, preferably from eBay. It's an expensive investment, and you are being nothing but prudent to spend the extra $100 or less to get a full, "bumper to bumper" warranty for a full three years. Buy either VMWare or Parallels and you can retain all windows programs you feel you absolutely can't do without. OR install Windows on your iMac as your ONLY operating system. The machine I received is not the machine advertised.
I purchased what was supposed to be an Apple iMac Desktop Core2Duo 3.0Ghz 4GB 500GB DVDRW 24". However, when I received the machine I found that the iMac was actually a Core2Duo 2.4 2GB 320 GB. I have tried several times to contact TechMart and inform them of this mishap, but they have yet to respond. Below is the message I sent to techmarts1@gmail.com several times. Consequently, my review of my interaction with eBay and TechMart is far less than stellar; I call it a poor experience. I have a problem and need your help. The machine I received is not the machine advertised. The machine I received has only 2GB of RAM and less than a 320 GB HD. Additionally, the processor is only 2.4 GHZ.
