About this product

Product Information

At a mere 9 oz, the Canon EF II may seem too good to be true, but this lightweight, budget-priced telephoto lens delivers. This auto and manual camera lens is only 78.5 mm long, a tiny as well as lightweight solution that offers an 80 mm - 200 mm zoom focal length. Its subtle and compact design allows users to snap away without standing out like a sore thumb, as with a larger and more ostentatious lens. With its F/4.5-5.6 aperture, the Canon camera lens produces sharp images in multiple lighting conditions. The Canon EF II features autofocus but also allows users to twist the barrel for manual control. The Canon EF II's low cost and simplicity of use make this auto and manual camera lens ideal for those learning the ropes of advanced photography. With its five zoom lens groups, this Canon camera lens easily gets the job done.

Item arrived promptly as described. However, I purchased two lens from this person at the same time and they were both packaged in the same box (albeit securely) , but I was not given a break on the cost of shipping- $7 for first lens and $9 for second lens shipping cost and they were both in the same box! Weird!

  • Canon EF 35-80 Kit lense

One of the semi-forgotten facts of the camera industry since the 1950's has been the gradual evolution of the "zoom" lens. At first viewed with contempt, then suspicion, then acceptance, the "zoom" lense today is the dominate photographic optic in the business. To be sure, single focal length lenses remain, usually as specialized large aperture lenses on the wide angle end, and high powered, high priced, high end optics on the telephoto side. However, the vast majority of amatuer and professional photographers use zoom lenses. The Canon EF 35-80 f/4-5.6 is just one lense which helped win the battle. There is nothing particularly special about it. In fact, it's just another example of a plastic mount "kit" lense that was probably sold with on the early ...

  • Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Lens

A lightweight, stealthy alternative to a big white heavy 70-200 f/2.8 lens. Not white, not too big, lightening fast focus. The 70-200 f/2.8IS is a little soft wide open at the long end. This lens is much sharper. Pair it with a 1/4xTC and have a 280mm f/4 lens - the kenko pro dg teleconverter works great with this lens. If you shoot a lot at this focal length, this lens is a real bargin. A great portrait lens on a full frame dSLR. If you shoot in good light only, consider the 70-200f/4L instead. it can be had on ebay for a great price, there are no bad copies of this lens, and you get a zoom. In poor light, the f/2.8 allows twice as much light in.

  • An exellent 200mm lens for action and portrait photo.

I use this Canon EF 200mm f/2.8L II USM Lens for a month. This lens satisfy me very... This lens is a very good build quality, superb optically. Image quality is very nice. Sharpness, contrast and colors are excellent. Focus works very fast, quiet and accurate. Flare is well controlled. Especially bokeh appear amazing. F/2.8 at 200mm create a very sharp object while appear very nice background blur. This is one of the superb portrait lens. The 200/2.8L II is light weight and nimble when in action handle (if the lack of zoom is acceptable). Pros... - Light weight, comfortable handle. - excellent optic lens. - very good build quality. - An excellent value. Cons... - No weather sealed. - Tripod Mount Ring not included.

  • Very good lens

I found this lens to be very good opticaly especially so considering it's price. The light weight proved to make this lens a very versital in the bag and on the camera. I recomend this lens to anyone who wants a good medium to telephoto zoom, that is very easy to use and take care of.

  • Okay lens

You get what you pay for when you buy lenses. This is exactly what one would expect for a lens of this price. It is made of thin plastic and is really light. It doesn't *feel* sturdy at first but upon closer inspection it's adequate, which is exactly how I would describe the build. It takes solid pictures on my T2i, haven't tried out and video yet. Overall good, I would recommend for someone just starting out or needing a backup lens.
