About this product

Product Information

Like a rogue combination of Lode Runner and Super Mario Bros., N+ is a game of line-drawing platform levels and a stick-figure ninja hero. The main goal is to guide the ninja to the exit of each level, but there are also gold blocks to collect, deadly traps to avoid, and sometimes, switches to flip and doors to open. The main way to collect gold, avoid traps, flip switches, and reach exits is through carefully controlled jumps that make use of the layout of the platforms in each level.

The ninja hero cannot double-jump like some other platform heroes, but he can jump off of walls and his trajectory can be altered in mid-air, allowing him to leap up, out, and around ledges and obstacles. Levels are designed to test the limits of this control scheme, but with perfectly directed leaps, the 2D ninja can use the layout of each baord to reach even the most treacherously booby-trapped gold blocks and most isolated exits.

Hundreds of levels are available in the game, ranging from simple tutorial boards to extremely challenging layouts. A main mode of play puts a time limit on the ninja's escape; gold blocks add extra time, so players will sometimes need to make strategic decisions as to whether to go out of their way to collect gold or to head straight for the exit. N+ is based on N: Way of the Ninja, an online Flash game that gained substantial grassroots popularity since its initial 2005 freeware release.

  • A frustrating addictive game!

I am an adult female gamer. I thought I'd try this game after reading some of the reviews. I love puzzle games. At first I had trouble controlling the ninja. I couldn't make him bounce off the walls at first. After a little bit of practicing I was able to control him better. There's alot of mazes to go through to get the key and the door while avoiding some obstacles along the way. It's pretty fun and makes you want to keep trying if you fail. Or if you succeed, you want to continue to the next level to see how far you can get. This game isn't for everyone though.

  • Great Game

N+ was a really great game, I quite enjoyed it, the controls are smooth and the game is challenging yet fun, I would suggest it to anyone who is looking for a good reflex puzzler, there is little story, but the game isn't meant to have one.

  • the best ninja game ever

as a flash game it was the best time killers ever and know its portable, awesome although the graphics are not that wonderful there what you should expect from Nintendo DS also this is harder than the computer version due to the screen size. One more thing be prepared to die many many many times some levels take 10 seconds others take 30 minutes you will get frustrated. That said you will love this game if you liked its predecessor N if you haven't played N you might want to try it.

  • Fun and challenging!

I think this game is great! It's frustrating but in a good way that makes you want to keep playing and playing... It's really simple, but totally entertaining. My boyfriend, however, thinks it's pointless. But then again, all he likes is Super Mario.

  • N+ is a must get for the DS!

If you have never played an N game before N+ for the DS is a great start! first off the mechanics of the game are great. There are tons of levels to jump and wall climb your way through. This is the first game I bought for my DS and still consider it one of the best in my collection.
