    Playable! not a toy.

The Easy Rider Key of "G" harmonica plays very well for the price. This one was Key of "G" which is a little LOWER in tone than one that plays in key of "C". These play OK and they are low priced enough that I give them away to encourage kids and adults to make music. Key of "C" would be preferable if you have a choice though. They play and sound good without TOO much air needed.... as other low priced harmonicas often need. These are excellent to learn on. How to bend notes. How to hold the harmonica.... how to take care of it & clean it. THEN... when you learn the basics and find out you LIKE it... you could move up to a Key of "C" or other brand more professional instrument. .

    Good starter!

It's not the GREATEST, but it's above dollar store toy-type harmonicas. I also have a lower end Fender harmonica that cost twice as much, and for well under ten dollars each, you can get a couple and play a lot of songs/learn/hobby harp. Recommended for the above reasons, great "get your feet wet" harp. Buy one!

  • Funny thing happened on the way to the harp sale...

Harmonica used to be a simple thing. There were small number of pro performers, who depended on the specifics for their living. But to us, the rest, it was enough for it to be fun. There is something so right about having a harp in your pocket. It goes where you do. It doesn't need insurance. It doesn't need electricity, or fuel, or dinner and a movie. It doesn't care if you smell, are older than the hills, or are a whipper snapper with almost no life experience. Then something happened. Harps went all techy. Like bicycles. Suddenly fun was big bucks. And somewhere freedom and simple joy vanished. This Easy Rider could reverse that silly trend. The Easy Rider provides the Essential Thing: Affordable, Carefree Fun. Get one, in whatever key you like, and play whatever music you like on ...

  • Better than expected

When it comes to harmonicas, the more you pay the better harp you get. That said, this is a very playable harmonica that is great for keeping in the car, toolbox, lunchbox, or setting around a campfire. Not a pro-grade harp, but it is better than most cheap Chinese harmonicas. I wish they made it in keys of D and A.

  • Outstanding Value

This has a surprisingly good tone with no need for gapping (look it up). For less than 5 bucks with shipping makes it a great deal. I wish he had more keys. They will not replace my Seydels, but are more than worth the money.
