Standing the test of time in 2022
Has adequate horsepower for most home computing tasks even in 2022. I have two computers using it. One has MX Linux xfce edition. Perform well with onboard video. Watching YouTube and surfing the net are fine. I have another using Windows 10 and it works fine also. Kind of reaching the end of the line tho if windows adds any more bloat. It had Windows millenium and windows did not allow the free upgrade to 10. Works fine anyway and it uses 8 gb total of ddr2--which also is supposedly obsolete. Only drawback is these used am3 processors get the pins bent easily in shipping because sellers use bubble-wrap. They are a major pain to straighten the pins with my old eyesight. Powerful CPU for its price!
Installed this on my old computer eMachines ET1331G-03w, MCP61PM-GM Rev. 2.4, Bios ver. P01-A2 dated 12/10/09. From Athlon II X2 235e to Phenom II X4 B95 95W TDP the upgrade is fantastic and without any problem using the stock heat sink, fan and psu. For everyday pc this should last for another 5 years or more. I recommend a samsung ssd and pcie to sata III adapter 6gb/s for Windows 10 OS as a boot drive.Installed this on my old computer eMachines ET1331G-03w, MCP61PM-GM Rev. 2.4, Bios ver.
