The Hitachi 250 GB Hard Drive is equipped with an IDE Ultra ATA/133 (ATA-7) interface. Maximum external data transfer rates for the Hitachi Deskstar T7K250 run at a maximum of 133 Mbps, while internal data transfers run at a maximum speed of 105.4 Mbps. The 7200-RPM Hitachi 250 GB Hard Drive features an 8 MB cache that serves as a buffer when reading and writing to the disk, decreasing issues with latency. Non-recoverable errors occur at a rate of 1 in 10E14. Average seek times are approximately 8.5 ms. The internal hard drive features a standard 3.5-inch compatible drive bay width and measures 1 inch high by 0.5 inches wide by 5.8 inches deep, weighing in at 1.4 lbs. Other potential uses for the Hitachi 250 GB Hard Drive include PC gaming, nearline storage, video editing, disk backup, virtual tape servers, and industrial automation.

    good hard drive for a good price

    250 gig plenty enough for me. installed linux on it. hope it last for a while. why do they want 100 characters before you can submit your comments it is what it is and it does what it does.
