This projector is quite large and heavy, but honestly, it's worth every pound and square inch. I tried using smaller, 'portable' projectors, but they were constantly malfunctioning and were never quite bright enough for use in a lighted room. I priced new, high end portable projectors, but they were well out of my budget. I selected this projector based on customer reviews, the Mitsubishi name, and the fact that in recent years they sold for over $3K brand new. It's a beast to carry to my teaching jobs, but I carry it in a large, padded container that I strap to a rolling cart, so it's not too bad. The thing is, it's awesome. It is bright, quiet, easy to use, focuses like a dream, and has a zoom feature that allows for the image size to be adjusted. My students love it more than I do because they can actually SEE the image. So, if you don't mind the size and weight of this projector, it's a great buy on a fantastic piece of equipment.Read full review

I have only set it up but so far, it has worked perfectly. The packing was excellent. My only beef is there is nothing included and the power cord was not for North America. You must have a remote and it is also not included. Mine is ceiling mounted 15 feet off the ground. I have yet to run video on it but he was honest about the hours and condition.
