Works great and the old snow blower I put it on starts easily now and it generates a nice strong spark. Only one issue though: No instructions were provided so I did not know the part could be installed backwards- It fits the same either way. However it only works ONE way.

Junk, rivets heads are bent, won't allow the air guide to be installed. Core fell apart in my hands. Normally the core is almost impossible to separate. Insulator at top of core missing. Oregon seems to have a serious quality control problem with this part. Save your self some grief and buy genuine Briggs and Stratton. Wish I had.

Great upgrade to any engine
Item works as designed. Would be useful if installation instruction is provided with package. There is a right and a wrong way to mount the item which will ultimately affect functionality. Beats point and condenser setup and makes starting sooo much easier. Engine also run better.

Good fit.
I cannot say this was a 100% exact replacement coil but it did fit my hole spacing, allowed for precise adjustment for gap to flywheel, had plenty long enough wire to reach the spark plug and most importantly worked as expected. Any differences to the original are purely aesthetic. Engine is fixed and runs great now. Fast shipping too! I am very happy.
