Product Information

Panzer Elite puts the player in command of one or more tanks which must be guided through historically accurate World War II battles. The game wears the hats of both strategy and simulation titles, allowing players to manage the maintenance of the tanks, and to command them in 3D battlefields.<br><br>Battles and campaigns span the entire war, and theaters include the East and West Fronts and North Africa. The player can engage in single battles and campaigns of various lengths.<br><br>Dozens of models are simulated in both Allied and German arsenals, and modifications and upgrades become available based on when they were actually designed and implemented. The player must maintain each tank in his platoon from deciding on models and outfitting them with available weaponry and crew members, who are rated on a number of pertinent abilities.<br><br>On the battlefield, the player can control as many functions of his tank as is desired, from acting as a realistic commander and leaving the dirty work to the driver, gunner, loader, and other crew members to doing everything himself. He also orders the movements and behavior of other tanks in his platoon.<br><br>Missions involve offensive and defensive goals, infantry support, delay tactics and other realistic efforts.
