Great product worked on my 2001 Impala 3.4L. Just a heads up this ignition cylinder will need to be programmed for your gm vehicle after install which is a straight fwd dyi which will take roughly 30 minutes to do. Relearn Procedure Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF Attempt to start the engine, then release the key to ON (vehicle will not start) Observe the SECURITY telltale, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn OFF Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds Repeat steps 1 through 4 two more times for a total of 3 cycles/30 minutes (The vehicle is now ready to relearn the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or passwords on the next ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK) IMPORTANT The vehicle learns the Passlock™ Sensor Data Code and/or password on the next ... Worked like a charm
Good value replacement for the OEM lock. Installed easily (after removing all the dash components) and worked as advertised. The only thing I noticed the replacement key didn't slide into the lock as easily as the original key did in the original lock but that is not a deal breaker. After a couple weeks use it is still performing good and solved the "security passlock" issue.
