The title highlights the center of the book, Southern Pacific's Cab Forward 4249
It's a tough road to follow Church's "Cab Forward". Lots of color pictures, that's good. I hoped some author would review the back-up whistle, but we have another author who failed to even mention it. . Other questions include when the smoke density light was on, was it continuous,or just in tunnels or at night, not addressed. Many pieces were stolen from 4294 when she was on display. I'd like some historic photos showing the now missing pieces such as the left oiler on the rear engine, now gone to 4449..
