    Not a first class vacuum!

    Good vacuum when new but very delicate. Became disabled in normal use. Repair parts very expensive considering they are plastic and original cost for the vacuum. Old vacuum was Electrolux and 20 years old where the Dyson was 3 years old and beyond economical repair in normal use.

    Love it!

    I am so pleased with the performance of this vacuum. Was a little leery about the animal one because it is smaller than the normal Dyson, but it's a work horse! I have 3 dogs that seem to be always shedding, and this works great on the hair. We also live in the desert, and have fine dust and sand constantly coming in the house. This really sucks up the dust, and I notice when I use my steam mop afterwards I have far less streaking then when my old Bissell vacuum was used. Only thing I wish it had was a little longer hose. I can get all but the last 2 stairs on my staircase with the unit on the floor. (But no big deal.) If you have fine dust and critters, this is THE vacuum for you!

    Great vacuum, great suction - never thought I would be so happy about a vacuum cleaner!

    I recently purchased this product, manufacture refurbished through. It looks and operates like new! And at such a great price! ($145) I had a Dyson DC18 previously and left it behind when I moved from New York to Colorado (had it for 10 years) and am very happy to have replaced it with such a fine machine. I never thought I would get so excited about a vacuum cleaner. Like many, I vacuumed with the Hoover that was lent to me and then with the new Dyson over the same area. I filled a large ziploc bag of dirt, etc. picked up by the Dyson after using the Hoover. Awesome!
