Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors meet again to face a common foe in developer Omega Force's distinct style of hack-and-slash combat. The third version of Warriors Orochi 3 to be released, Ultimate features characters from established Tecmo games, along with the full cast of playable warriors from Koei's previous editions of the title. History's greatest generals are called together, through time and space, to defeat the monster Youja. Emerging relationships underlie the storyline, which plays a more central role than in earlier games.<br><br>Throughout the game, players have the opportunity to choose from a roster of more than 120 characters, including Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hayabusa, Dead or Alive's Ayane, Jeanne d'Arc from Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War, and Achilles from the Dynasty Warriors-inspired Legends of Troy. Gamers can also choose from the four characters added in Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, and eight new characters added for this edition. As characters form strategic alliances, engage in diplomacy, and fight side-by-side in battle, a bond develops between them, allowing them to team up in special combo attacks. The game also includes a scenario editor and built-in tools for sharing player-created missions online.<br><br>Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate also adds four new chapters to the Story mode, offering insight into the events before the original Warriors Orochi and presenting a new threat in the form of Tamamo no Mae. Players can also take on the new Gauntlet mode, which finds five characters attempt to survive a variety of challenges within a multi-level dungeon.

    Same great Musou gameplay that we love.

    A great continuation of the Orochi series. The only downside is that they got rid of the English voice over. It ruins the immersion and I find myself having to pause and look at the battle log to make sure I didn't miss anything important pertaining to the current battle. This isn't an issue with the English voice over since you can hear these updates in the background while you are mowing down tons of enemies. Other than that I highly recommend this game if you like the Musou genre.
