Can you see me now?
Ring is an excellent system, once you have it all set up. We had to go to fiber optic with our cable system just to get video on my tablet. My desktop got the video immediately. My laptop just couldn't get the app at all. Called ring and they told me it might be the microsoft app program. At least my wife's iphone gets video and motion notices. Slow motion pick up.........
These things don't start recording any motion till about 20-30 seconds after it stated, which is unacceptable for me, I keep hearing it's a glitch in their software, well it needs to be addressed, in my opinion should have been fixed before went to market..And yes have got high speed internet, i am a computer geek, nothing wrong on my end..go to you U tube you will see plenty other with same problem..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A tad pricey, but good quality
This is my second Ring device. I have it to supplement my Ring doorbell. It has done a good job recording video when motion is detected so far and it has a decent battery life. I have it configured to use as little battery as possible while still using motion detection. After a week of use, I'm only at 70%. The best of the options available on the market
This is a top notch home security camera that operates without the need of any wiring. The video quality is very good and the angle of view is impressive. Batteries do need charging after only a few weeks depending on how often the camera activates to record the full 1080P videos, but that is really still very impressive battery performance. Also, the system can sometimes take a moment or two to feed the live video to your mobile device but that is more a drawback of the app/website than the camera itself. Camera is easy to install and quick to get online.
When the camera came out of the box, all I needed to do was charge the battery. I then selected the mounting location and positioned the view to give proper coverage. Since I already had a ring doorbell, I already had the Ring App on my Iphone so to get the camera working, I just added a device. It was very easy and quick. I am now online!

There is a lag in link up
When you get an alert and touch your cell phone screen it takes about 20 seconds for the picture to come up. If someone is walking by your camera you don't get to see them immediately. You will then have to go in to review to see who it is. This ring Spotlight cam will not connect with Google home hub despite many websites saying that it can be. Google home hub has a list of products that will link up, and there must be two hundred of them, but ring is not one of them.
