Better than expected. Tip: set up on a 2.4 ghz network to avoid problems!
I almost didn’t buy this thermostat because of all the bad reviews of both the device and the companion app. This is one of the few millivolt compatible WiFi smart thermostats you can buy. I purchased it for a pellet stove so that I could remotely monitor and turn on/off the stove especially if there is ever a long power outage that goes beyond my battery backup capacity. There is a way to modify other smart thermostats with a relay but I wanted to avoid it. Tip: it is made to work on a 2.4 ghz network only (like many other IoT devices) and many of the bad reviews are due to the thermostat randomly disconnecting from the network. If you have an IoT install or similar setting on your router/network it should install with no issues. I have been using it flawlessly for a week. I am powering it using USB and running it through a separate battery backup so it will continue working through a power outage as well (my router is also on a UPS) since some people have said online that it goes through the included batteries quickly. The app is nothing great and most of the advanced set up is only on the device, but it operates as it should. It is nice to be able to shut down my stove for cleaning from the app and turn it back on without having to mess with the thermostat. I’m also happy for the peace of mind to be able to control it when away from home if I have to. I wouldn’t pay full price for it but for the same price on eBay as a non WiFi enabled programmable thermostat it more than meets my needs.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Lux thermostats are the best.
The Lux brand of thermostats offer the ability to adjust how often the hvac turns on and off assuming it is running correctly. You can set the offset up to 3 degrees so the appliance turns on and off less times per day. It does result more larger temperature variations but should help protect the life span of the appliances you own.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Geo thermostat
Have 2 Geo’s, as we live in a 2 story. I think the thermostat looks good and I also like the app that you control them with. You can monitor temp, time run and high / low temp warnings.
