    Hours and hours of fun!

    I love it. The constructing of the Gurdy was so much fun, hours of fun and it plays, perhaps not with the most concise sounds but I'd need to probably drop $1500.00 for one that could be used in a recording. None the less, I love it and am thinking about making one out of a guitar, etc. Again it was so much fun. I will be ordering your products for Christmas gifts. The enjoyment came in becoming one with the instructions, pushing the pegs in facing the right directions, gently popping the pieces out, carefully handling them when connecting together, meditative interaction with the product. I'm now planning it's decorative painting features to high light the incredible engineering design that went into the puzzle. I'm very impressed with the Gurdy as are all that I have shown it to. ...

    Very nice to look at, plays better with larger fishing line.

    I bought this to see whether or not it would play as others have said it would. I really enjoyed putting the model together. Then I added classical guitar strings to it rather than using the too small fishing line that came with it. Overall, I'm glad I bought it, but just so you understand, it probably works better with fishing line than with guitar strings! It's beautiful to look at but plays only barely with guitar strings. Try to stay as true as possible to the original design- it just works better that way!

    Best toy for the pandemonium

    This was a great model to build. Great instructions with no language barrier. The only thing I learned was to use a nail file to sand the wheel to make it perfectly round, after the whole model was built. I gently rested the nail file and just turned the handel as the wheel turned to get a perfect "roundness'.

    Another bit of genius

    Every once in a while their comes a time when you know you've made a good investment and have something truly amazing. For me, this is one of those times. This model is fun to build, genius in its whole process of experiencing the steps to bring this to life. Great quality and I recommend it.

    Challenging but worth it.

    This was a gift to my brother in law, and my reply to this if based on His experience with it. He is a Lither, and because of the gift, after building it, he went on line found plans for another one. He then called me (because I'm a machinist) and asked me if I could build the metal wheel axle and bearing components, if I could, then build two and he would build me one too.
