5.0 amp 20 volts max battery
At this early stage, my experience is that the price was really good, it appears to be of decent quality, and it arrived sooner than expected. It would have been a little extra if it had had a level indicator. It was not advertised to have that feature and I do not consider that as a problem. I have only had the battery a week or so, and it is still on the first charge. It charged fine with my regular Dewalt charger. The 5 AH battery that will last the day.
As a General Contractor I find myself facing a myriad of different jobs every day. I have a complete assortment of DeWalt cordless tools to accomplish those tasks. I am constantly grabbing a different tool every few minutes during the work day. Sometimes I find it convenient to take 3 or 4 different tools but only one battery pack. That reduces the load in my tool bag significantly. It is very easy to switch the pack from one tool to another as needed. I can usually work all day with a single 5 AH battery. If I am using a tool that uses a lot of watts I will put a 5 AH pack in that tool. A little quirky but good for the price
Good working substitute I'm a professional renovator and place heavy demands on my power tools. I have a lot of dewalt 20vt tools and thought I would take a chance on this substitute battery. I figured worst case if it didn't work I could switch the guts out of one of my banged up dewalt batteries with a cracked case. So far the battery is performing quite well. I have been using it extensively on my power hungry cordless shop vac and it's run time is comparable to my 3ah dewalts and definitely better then my 2ah yellow top short stack dewalts. I see other reviewers have had bad lucks not being able to get the battery to charge. TRUE, there seems to be some sort of problem connecting to any of the three different dewalt chargers that I have as well. I found that the only way it will go thru the charge cycle is if you rest something on top the battery while it's on the charger. Quirky, I know. But for the low price I am happy to put up with it. I just stack another charger and battery on top of it and about 50 minutes later from dead its fully charged. I have not had any over heating issues while charging or in use and the run time has been very good. I will purchase a couple more because even with the temperamental charging they are still way better then the stack of 1.5ah batteries that all my tools came with.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hit'em with the hein great battery
Shipping was quick and the battery operates properly. I will also say its a terrific upgrade if you have the stock 1.5Ah battery like my set came with. Dewalt replacement battery
