    Sony BluRay

    Picture quality is very good, and the unit functions well, though the remote and it's features come up short. The remote key layout was not thought out very well. Play button should be larger than the other keys, and there's no size button. My old player had a very handy feature for enlarging the picture, which is great for credits and viewing details in pause mode. As far as the player itself goes I'm happy. May get a better remote.

    Nice HD Quality Video

    Mainly used for Plex DLNA and some issues popup with MKV files on the server but, for the most part, it has an excellent picture.

    Works well, for copying SACD's. No idea about video performance.

    I bought the S5100 for an atypical application. I don't use it in the normal fashion, that is, to watch video, so I can't comment on the picture quality or any of the normal, intended functions. I use it to copy DSD audio from SACD's (super audio compact discs) to my music server. Works just fine for that, but can't comment on its video performance. Sorry.

    Very Pleased With This Player

    I have been quite pleased with every aspect of this player's features. For me, the most satisfying benefit of this, particular model has been its ability to play SACDs. With a nice system, SACD playback with this inexpensive player rivals much more expensive units.
