    Replacement KIdde CO detector purchase & install.

    The unit I purchased replaced my previous KIdde CO detector when the old unit's 10-year life cycle expired. The old unit worked well over the period. I chose a replacement unit that was functionally similar to my old unit. The main feature of the replacement unit is a more detailed display. The unit came wrapped like a mummy in bubble wrap. I simply unplugged the old unit and plugged in the new unit and that was it. Good Ebayer, fast ship, nicely packaged, still sealed in its original blister pack. Five stars -- The way Ebay transactions are supposed to work.

    Wished that I had not bought it!

    I put in the 9 volt battery and plugged into power. All I get is L-6 and 0 plus alarm. The instruction Manuel font size is too small for easy reading.

    Old but good.

    Brand new but made in 2006. included battery was dead as it had a date of 2013 on it. The unit has a seven year life that starts when you initiate it, so I think it will be just fine.

    Buy what you WANT AND what you NEED.

    The Kid plug-in Carbon Monoxide detector with battery backup is the exact product in which I was interested. It does the job that it was purchased for and is the exact configuration that I wanted for my home. It has a 10 year warranty, which is better than the previous detector. After considerable research this device is the detector that works best for me. Glad I bought it, and, glad I bought it from eBay.
