Home Theater Power Conditioner with Battery Backup (for two outlets)
This power conditioner has battery backup (UPS) for two of its 10 outlets. I have a computer within my home theater system (HTS) that also includes: TV, AV Receiver, BluRay, VCR, and Turntable. This Panamax unit replaces a Monster HTUPS 3700 for my HTS. The Panamax unit has only two UPS outlets compared to eight UPS outlets on the Monster unit, but the Panamax unit is absolutely silent while the Monster unit has a very noisy fan that runs whenever the power load is more than 225 Watts. I have the smart TV and computer using the two UPS outlets. The Panamax unit is a standard AV component size that should fit most AV cabinets. Because of the battery, it is a little heavier than most components, but nothing like the Monster unit. This Panamax unit was designed for a HTS using a projector instead of a TV allowing safe shut down of the projector upon electrical power loss, but it also works well for TV and computer combinations.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
