Autoart's stunning Ford falcon V8 interceptor coupe from the first mad max film yes there are a few things missing ie the mfp shields on the front wings / fenders and the mfp number / licence plate on the rear also it would appear that Autoart no longer had the mad max licence hence no mention of the film on either the car of the packaging that aside I cant fault this model and I would highly recommend it

Greenlight version is better for the money
I was excited when I saw the release of the original version of the interceptor. I purchased the road warrior version (Auotart), years ago and liked the way it looked. Very close to the actual car minus the dirt. So when I purchased the mad max version I was hoping for the same quality to detail and manufacturing. First, I find the box cheap, very light cardboard and very plain, I was afraid of tearing it when I took the car out of it. Second, when I removed the top foam cover, I was surprised to find the blower separated from the engine, just laying to the side. I glued it in place so no biggie, but a sign of rushed manufacturing and packaging. Third, why didn't Autoart take time to place the MFP logos on the car that really set up the car?. I just find the Greenlight version to be more true to the detail of the interceptor. Hopefully Autoart realizes that first impressions are the most important and PAY more attention to DETAIL and QUALITY.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Arrived as quickly as possible, from the other side of the world! I've been waiting for this model for quite a long time and it was not a disappointment when it arrived. Beautifully made it evokes memories of watching the original in the cinema many years ago. It's quite expensive but it really is worth it, the only disappointment is you don't get the badging, but you can get them on the secondary market. Not AutoArt's Usual High Quality
As awesome as it is, this version of Mad Max's car is not as nice as the first release (MM2) from AA. Yes, the paint job is spectacular, but there were many other issues with my model when it arrived. The front anti-sway bar was not connected; v-belt hanging loosely; the metal blower intake has a human's fingerprint embedded into the the finish that I cannot remove. There are no Interceptor logos on the front fenders, nor the correct movie MFP plate on the rear. Also, the rake of the stance is way too low compared to the actual movie car; it should by hiked up more rear end. Overall, I'm severely disappointed in the QA aspects f the car for the $175 I paid.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Negatives,front seats don’t tilt,being a two door coupe,no working suspension,wheels a bit wobbly,& most obvious no decals on front guards & rear #plate,Positives GR8T paint & stance,authentic hood/door/hinges/tyresl,all opening parts, Autoart could have gone that little xtra for the $$ these command,I have since added the missing logos to finish this model off, But 100% better compared to green light version,hence the price $$ difference,you get what you pay for so I rate this a 7👍out of 10Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Solid and heavy
This 1/18 diecast model of the Mad Max Interceptor 'Tuned Edition' is absolutely amazing and stacked with detail, made mostly of metal, this does pack a bit of weight to it. The car is equipped with opening doors, hood and rear trunk, the interior has great details on the dash including the police light and the engine is nicely sculpted with extractor pipes, spark plug cables and other miniature 1/18 scale engine pieces connected to it. The supercharge blower, reason for making this car a favourite and one of the most recognizable movie cars with collectors sits attractively rising through the hood atop the engine housing. Even the under carriage of the Interceptor has major details, from the engine sump to the rear differential and it's exhaust engine pipes which veer upwards from the sides. The cars paint work is superior with it matching the on-screen car of both gloss and matt black paint scheme, the gold coloured headlight covers, the BF Goodrich tire logos are all there. Now for the low points of the car, well not so much of the car itself but of the missing details, the decal stickers of the guard badges with the logo 'Maintain Right' and the rear MFP licence plate lettering are vacant. I don't know why AutoArt left these essential details out but they are indeed part of the Interceptors character, I ended up having to buy some 1/18 scale car vinyl decal stickers from another seller and apply them myself. Apart from the missing decal details, this diecast model is very handsomely built and an almost perfect rendition of the movie vehicle.
