I purchased a set this fall for one of my F550 service trucks for the upcoming winter season as it was the classic fall scenario with less than marginal tread on the vehicle to make it through the season. I wanted a tread pattern that would keep the vehicle out of the ditch and so far I am impressed. With the vehicle weighing in @ 15k (the 2nd lightest in the fleet) I have had no problem (and actually better than the rest of the traffic) keeping the truck from breaking traction with the road surface. These tires have minimal howl on dry pavement and will work better the more weight you throw at them. Last weekend I drove in 2wd through 9.5" of wet snow with minimal spin between shuttling from forward to reverse because of the chassis weight. The only complaint is I have to use considerable throttle to play on the snow covered roads anymore (and they like to hold some road gravel until the 40 mph mark)- I think I found my next tire. And yes they are pretty good on ice also because of the built in tire sipe feature as nothing short of studs are great on ice. Let's see if they can surpass the 25-30k mileage service life mark all the other aggressive 19.5" tires I tried because of the heavier trucks I run.
